Glock 20 Gen 4 - The Glock 20 has been in the gun market for the last 25 years. It was developed in 1990 and fully released to the public in 1991. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation once made this pistol a competitor as their new weapon, but was later scrapped. The bottom line is that the frame is too big for the average shooter, and too much spin for everyday practice. The FBI keeps 10mm cartridges in its arsenal, along with MP5 variants for hostage rescue teams and their special weapons and tactics teams. Today, the 10mm cartridge is used by several local police departments in the United States for hunting, It is marketed for both defensive and tactical use. The 10mm rimless cartridge is one of the only cartridges that are legal for use in hunting whitetail deer in many states.
When the Glock 20 came out, it measured 8.03" in overall length, 1.27" in width, and 5.47" in height with a double-stack 15th magazine. This polymer pistol weighed 1.92 pounds and 2.47 pounds. Like A standard Glock, the trigger pull is a standard 5.5 pounds.The Glock 20 Gen4 I tested had AmeriGlo TFO Sights, which were a big upgrade over the factory plastic sights. Like all Gen4 Glocks, it had three magazines and an interchangeable backstrap.

I honestly didn't know what to expect when I brought this pistol to the range. I've never shot a 10mm pistol before, but I did shoot a Glock 33 in a .357 SIG. The Glock 33 is such a small Glock that my wrist hurt the next day after taking the picture. But surprisingly, this gun is amazing. Due to the longer slide and design of the gun; It's very easy to set up and the follow-up shots are accurate. Now I know why people carry this cartridge as a backup when hunting in the forest. It's also nice to know that there is an option for a longer barrel to improve shooting. The factory 4.6" barrel length is fine, but if you add a 6" Lone Wolf Distributors barrel. It would make this gun even better.

The Glock 20 Gen4 retails locally for $539 and for your LEO/First Responders/Military personnel, you can purchase this Glock 20 Gen4 at Blue Label for around $439. This gun is actually a used pistol and is priced at $440. So for outdoor hunters contemplating a new hunting weapon, seriously consider the Glock 20 or 10mm cartridge for your next pistol.
